It wasn't that long ago that we were clicking away and taking those special moment shots, and then you would take your film in to get those pictures developed only to find out that none of them came out the way you wanted them too.  How devastating was that?  Now with the photography digital world, you can simply click away and if they don't come out, well welcome to the delete button.  No charge to have something horrible printed anymore. The photography digital world all started with the Sony Mavica digital camera back in 1981.  This camera was designed to be a movie camera, but it took freeze frame shots and that is when the new technology of the digital cameras took place.  Every manufacturer was on the rise to make the best digital camera around, and they wouldn't stop until they got it right.  Now there are so many wonderful digital cameras available on the market today, it makes it hard to choose which one to purchase.

Many computers have software already installed to download pictures and edit them.  One of the best free software that enhances pictures is Picasa.  It is easy to use, and you can warm pictures, sharpen, organized  and do some tinting, it's a great way to take a picture and just enhance it to make people say wow what a great shot when you share your pictures with friends and family, which is easy to do with this software too.   If you want to become more passionate about creating great pictures the Corel PaintShop Photo Pro is everything you need to get professional-looking results you'll be proud to share.  It is ideal for DSLR cameras, and you can do some amazing things with this software.

Photography Digital Warming up Tones

When shooting outdoor portraits and sunny landscapes have you notice your shots have a cool feel or more white and blues instead of a warm sunny feeling.  A easy way to fix this is most photography digital cameras the auto setting is a white balance setting which is great for snapshots but not for landscape pictures.  Try changing your white balance setting from auto to cloudy.  This adjustment puts a mild warming filter on your camera.  Its increases the reds and yellow resulting in richer, warmer pictures.  Play with this features and take a few pictures both ways and then download them to your computer, my guess you'll like the warmer image better.

Many professional photographers have a polarizer which is a filter that reduces glare and unwanted reflections and these polarized shots have richer, more saturated colors, especially of the sky.  Many of the point-and-shot cameras don't accept filters, but you still can achieve this effect by placing your sunglasses over the lens.  It's best to use quality sunglasses with this photography digital trick, and place the glasses as close to the camera lens as possible, then check to make sure you don't have the rims in the shots.  For the best effect, it is better to have the sun over either your right or left shoulder.  The polarizing effect is strongest when the light source is a 90-degree angle from the subject.  Go ahead have some fun and see the different this makes on the shots.

Another reason for a massive memory card is it enables your camera's to shoot at the highest resolution.  Why should you set your camera at the highest quality resolution?  If you take the next greatest image shot at a low 640 X 480 resolution, it means you can only make a print about the size of a credit card.  However, if you have the image at 2272 x 1704, then you can make a lovely 8 X 10 photo quality print suitable for framing or even gracing the cover of Time magazine.  Another reason for the higher resolution, if you didn't get as close as you liked, with these extra pixels it enables you to crop your image and still make a decent sized print. 

These are just a few tricks that can give you some great picture.  But most digital camera have tremendous amount of functionality built into them.  By knowing these functions, and a little ingenuity and creativity you can take shots that will make people ask what kind of camera do you have??
